A grass-roots citizen group, the Forks Area Health and Wellness Committee (FAHWC) was formed and recoreded more than 11000 volunteer hours to: |
1) identify the health and wellness needs of the community, |
2) develop innovative partnerships, |
3) and raise funds to support the project. |
This new facility and overall project will allow for collaborative relationships, space for leasing partners, renovate the downtown Grand Forks Altru Y Family Center Family Center and support an endowment scholarship fund for individuals and families who would otherwise not be able to participate due to financial constraints.
